Bo Williams is licensed in Alabama and Florida and focuses his practice on complex first-party and third-party insurance coverage and liability litigation.
Since 2007, Bo has represented various Underwriting Syndicates at Lloyd's and other foreign and domestic market insurers in first-party and third-party coverage and bad-faith matters and excess engagements throughout the firm’s Gulf Coast regional offices. He also routinely represents their insureds in liability claims and litigation, including catastrophic injury, COA/HOA liability, residential and commercial premises liability, recreational marine liability, and product liability.
Experience
- Representation of Underwriting Syndicates at Lloyd's and other foreign and domestic market admitted and surplus lines insurers throughout the Southeast in various claims and coverage disputes, including first- and third-party bad faith in Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, and the Carolinas.
- Defense of personal injury and premises liability claims, including recreational marine liability, general liability, and COA, HOA, and residential and commercial premises liability, etc.
- Representation of vessel dealers, manufacturers, and others in product liability, marine personal injury, Jones Act and Longshore Act, and capsizing/sinking cases.
- Counseling of corporate clients in contract analysis, litigation, and other business matters.
- Representation of developers, owner associations, contractors and subcontractors in commercial and residential construction litigation.
- Representation of builders, owners, and developers in multi-plaintiff/multi-case drywall litigation.
- Representation of commercial dock owner in barge breakaway and allision case against foreign, commercial subsidiaries of the People’s Republic of China.
- Representation and counseling of shipyards, marine equipment companies, and barge/tug charterers in numerous contract and litigation matters, including multiple matters arising out of the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill.
- Representation of vessel owners, charterers, and others in arrest, collision, allision, and pollution cases and United States Coast Guard investigations.
- Representation of accounting and finance professionals in litigation concerns.
