Ashley Heilprin Selected to ABA Leadership Roles
NEW ORLEANS, La. – April 25, 2023 – Phelps partner Ashley Heilprin was appointed to leadership positions in the American Bar Association (ABA). She will serve as the Co-Chair for the 2023 Women in Litigation Conference, presented by the ABA Section of Litigation. She will also continue as a member of the Governance Committee for the ABA Forum on Communications Law.
ABA is the largest voluntary bar organization, serving lawyers across all jurisdictions and practices globally. Ashley’s role as Co-Chair for the 2023 Women in Litigation Conference will be instrumental in the upcoming CLE event, that joins nationally renowned litigators, judges and industry professionals to increase opportunities for female leadership both in and out of the courtroom.
The ABA Forum on Communications Law is a network of lawyers that represent the media and communications industries and keeps its members abreast of key industry issues, including freedom of information and speech, privacy, data collection and First Amendment Law. As a member of the Governance Committee, Ashley will help the forum reach its full potential for providing resources and networking opportunities for its members.
Ashley is a partner in the firm’s New Orleans litigation group. With a focus in commercial and tort litigation, she helps clients resolve First Amendment, intellectual property, privacy, casualty and general business issues. In addition to her practice, Ashley frequently writes thought leadership and presents at seminars and conferences concerning litigation topics, and is a board member for the ACLU of Louisiana and a former board member for local charter schools.
