Baton Rouge Bar Presents Nuts and Bolts of the Private Works Act

Anthony Gambino presented “The Nuts and Bolts of the Louisiana Private Works Act” at the Baton Rouge Bar Association’s CLE by the Hour program in December 2024. The presentation provided general information about filing a "privilege," as Louisiana calls it, which is commonly known as a "lien." Gambino outlined the parties who can file a lien, the deadline to file a lien, and the contents of the lien. He also outlined other key aspects of the act, including important documents such as the "notice of contract" and "notice of termination."
