Brandon Davis Earns Louisiana Employment Law Specialization
NEW ORLEANS, La. - Feb. 8, 2023 - Phelps Partner Brandon Davis earned the rank of Certified Employment Law Specialist from the Louisiana Board of Legal Specialization. The certification, which took effect Jan. 1, recognizes Brandon’s breadth of experience representing clients in a range of labor and employment matters.
To earn the certification, he completed a minimum of 15 hours of continuing legal education in employment law and passed a rigorous employment law specialization exam.
Brandon focuses his practice on the intersection of labor and employment law, immigration law and business. He defends employers against claims involving allegations of retaliation, discrimination, workplace harassment and EEOC charges that fall under state and federal statutes. He also counsels clients on a variety of human resource and risk management issues, focusing on solutions that minimize risk and maximize employee potential.
In his immigration practice, Brandon has successfully represented employers and individuals on I-9/E-verify compliance, labor certification, H-1B visas, H-2B visas, Conrad 30 waivers, J-1 visas, I-130 applications, consular processing, lawful permanent resident applications and E-3 visas.
