Errol King Appointed to LLHIGA Board of Directors
BATON ROUGE, La. - Dec. 12, 2024 - Errol J. King has been named to the Board of Directors of the Louisiana Life and Health Insurance Guaranty Association (LLHIGA) as the appointee of Commissioner of Insurance Tim Temple. The purpose of LLHIGA is to protect consumers against failure in the performance of contractual obligations under life, health and annuity policies, plans or contracts due to the impairment or insolvency of member insurers. As Commissioner Temple’s appointee, Errol will be a consumer representative and facilitate support for resident policyholders during an insurance company’s insolvency. Errol’s appointment is subject to Senate confirmation.
The Board of Directors of LLHIGA includes the insurance commissioner’s appointee as well as representatives of member insurers and an appointee from both the Senate and House of Representatives.
Errol represents and has represented managed care clients before state and federal regulatory agencies and has defended managed care plans nationwide in litigation.
