Mark Fullmer Named to The Legal 500 Private Practice Powerlist for M&A
NEW ORLEANS — March 6, 2024 — Phelps partner Mark A. Fullmer was selected for The Legal 500 Private Practice Powerlist M&A 2024 United States.
The Legal 500 is a UK-based legal directory that has been analyzing the capabilities of law firms for more than 30 years. The list showcases the leading practitioners working across the United States, drawing on the expertise of The Legal 500’s research team as well as leading M&A practitioners and general counsel active in the market.
Mergers and acquisitions in the United States is dominated by technology sector activities, while the healthcare industry has also experienced a significant consolidation. Private equity involvement, resilience and adaptability, and a multidisciplinary approach are notable features in this dynamic M&A landscape. Cross-border transactions are also key: US companies are particularly well positioned to take advantage of M&A opportunities in other regions, for example in Europe, so the legal teams that thrive the most have a solid understanding of both the local culture and laws but also can bring in expertise and be open to ideas from cross-border.
