Phelps Dunbar Expands Construction Practice Across the Gulf Coast with Team in New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS – Phelps Dunbar has recruited construction attorney Daniel Lund III as a partner in its New Orleans office. In addition to Dan, the Firm welcomes three associates to the construction law team: Stuart Richeson, Alex Saunders and Carys Arvidson.

The construction law team will focus on construction contract drafting and negotiation, commercial and industrial construction litigation, surety litigation, construction claim preparation and analysis, construction defect matters, land use and zoning, telecommunications, intellectual property, and alternative dispute resolution (arbitration and mediation).
Dan holds local, state and national honors for his construction practice. He has been named as a “Top Lawyer” by New Orleans Magazine and is also recognized by the Best Lawyers in America in Construction Law and Construction Law Litigation. Dan received his J.D. from Tulane University Law School in 1988, earned an M.T.S. from Duke University, and received his B.A. from the University of New Orleans.
Stuart’s experience is in representing general contractors, subcontractors, and design professionals, with an additional focus on intellectual property matters. A 1995 graduate of Tulane University Law School, Stuart has also been recognized as a “Top Lawyer” by New Orleans Magazine.
Alex focuses on construction defect litigation and construction contract claims.Alex earned his J.D. from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2003, and his B.A. from Tulane University.
Carys concentrates her practice on construction defect litigation and construction contract claims. She received her J.D. from Tulane University Law School in 2015, and her B.A. in History from University of California, Davis.
