Phelps Expands Capabilities for Marine and Energy Sector Insurers
HOUSTON — October 26, 2021 — Phelps welcomes counsel Michael Orlando to the firm’s Houston litigation group. Michael works closely with national and international insurers focused on the marine and energy sector. He also helps insurers contend with claims arising out of rising rates and supply chain issues and adapt to the increased focus on renewables, sustainable investments and ESG.
Michael works with clients of all sizes to navigate both the challenges and opportunities that come with the evolving marine and energy insurance landscape. His deep understanding of these markets ensures he knows what areas to scrutinize in even the toughest coverage or liability claims. A seasoned litigator, he has steered insurers and insureds through every step of claims handling, resolving multimillion-dollar disputes for oilfield services companies, shipyard and vessel owners, and everything in between.
