Phelps Partner Brie Zarzour Joins Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel
MOBILE, Ala. — Jan. 10, 2022 — The Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel (FDCC) welcomed Phelps Partner Brie Zarzour to its ranks, which include legal leaders across the civil defense, corporate and insurance industries. She joins an international network of respected lawyers who work to support each other, industry clients and the legal profession as a whole.
For almost 100 years, the FDCC has aimed to advance an equitable justice system and preserve it for future generations through a community of trusted industry legal professionals. The counsel invites a diverse group of lawyers to join who have earned exemplary reputations both professionally and personally. It helps members cultivate leadership skills and valuable relationships through active, ongoing collaboration that promotes creativity, scholarship and innovation.
Brie focuses much of her practice on guiding clients through civil litigation, whether that includes medical malpractice claims, wrongful death claims, product and professional liability issues or third-party insurance disputes. She works with businesses and individuals in a variety of industries, including health care, construction, trucking and insurance. She also regularly helps regional, national and international insurance companies in disputes on bad faith.
When she’s not working with clients, Brie is actively engaged in her community. She works with fellow members of the Native American community as an admitted attorney in The Poarch Band of Creek Indians Tribal Court. She’s also a member of the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association and the Women Lawyers Section of the Mobile Bar Association. And she’s a founding member of the Fuse Project, which has raised more than $2 million in the last 10 years to support local organizations helping children along Alabama’s Gulf Coast.
