Phelps Partner Kim Boyle Honored with NOCCJ Weiss Award
NEW ORLEANS — Phelps Dunbar partner Kim Boyle was named a 2019 recipient of the New Orleans Council for Community and Justice’s Weiss Award. Boyle will be honored with the award at a ceremony Dec. 13 in New Orleans.
The Weiss Award recognizes outstanding community leaders who exemplify civic leadership and those who build community. Boyle is one of seven recipients of this year’s award.
“While these individuals have received many awards for their outstanding work in the community, we believe that the Weiss Award uniquely recognizes their devotion to programs that promote respect for self and others - a cornerstone to achieving change in our community and in the world,” said the Hon. Kristin G. Palmer, Presiding Chair of NOCCJ.
Boyle practices in the areas of labor and employment, civil rights, constitutional law, commercial, tort and general litigation. In October, she was named a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, one of the premier legal associations in North America.
She is a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law and earned her bachelor’s degree from Princeton University.
