Strengthening Our Ranks: Phelps Dunbar Names New Managing Partner
NEW ORLEANS, LA—Phelps Dunbar has chosen Marshall Redmon as its next Managing Partner, setting the direction for a dynamic firm with six offices along the Gulf Coast, Fort Worth and Raleigh. Redmon also serves as Managing Partner of the firm's New Orleans office, a member of the firm's Operations Committee, and chair of the Policy and Planning Committee.
Commenting on his new role, “The legal industry is undergoing unprecedented change but our firm is well-positioned to tackle it. We continue to be laser focused on our strengths and growing intentionally in ways to better help our clients.” Redmon noted that the firm is excited about some of the challenges on his plate particularly the role that technology will be playing. “We have formed a partnership with Tulane University's A.B. Freeman School of Business to pilot artificial intelligence (AI) programs that will improve legal services. The initiative will explore how AI, particularly data analytics, can be used to identify business trends, develop litigation strategies, and increase efficiency.”
