The CASE Act: What You Need to Know About the New Copyright Small Claims Board
The new Copyright Alternative in Small-Claims Enforcement Act (CASE Act) creates a voluntary small claims court for certain copyright disputes and directs the U.S. Copyright Office to establish a three-member Copyright Claims Board to preside over such claims. The Board is set to start hearing claims by December 27.
The one-hour program, titled “The CASE Act: What You Need to Know About the New Copyright Small Claims Board,” will feature New Orleans partner Mary Ellen Roy and Tupelo associate Andrew Coffman. The program will look at key provisions of the CASE Act and address a number of questions raised by the new legislation.
