Katie Myers practices in the area of insurance. She advises insurers on third-party liability and first-party insurance coverage and litigation issues involving the laws of multiple states, including Louisiana, South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Texas, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Wisconsin, California, New York, Colorado and many others. Katie counsels insurers, manages disputes and litigates cases involving a wide variety of coverage issues, including those arising out of claims involving construction defect, automobile (garage, uninsured motorist, personal injury protection), professional liability, directors and officers liability, premises liability, property loss, and environmental and toxic tort, as well as issues of multiple-year trigger and allocation, additional insured and contractual indemnity, and extracontractual liability. Her experience also extends to coverage disputes involving advertisement, copyright and trademark claims, educators’ professional liability and sports, recreation, entertainment and event policies.

- Insurer representation in multiple complex coverage declaratory judgment actions pending in Louisiana, Texas, Wisconsin, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi and Ohio through motion practice and/or trial/settlement.
- Insurer representation in multiple direct action lawsuits through motion practice and/or trial/settlement (Louisiana state and federal court).
- Obtained favorable ruling from Georgia Supreme Court on certified question regarding priority of insurance.
