- Obtained preliminary injunction on behalf of client agricultural employers enjoining enforcement of Department of Labor regulation which increased the wages of certain migrant farm workers;
- Secured appellate affirmance of a federal district court decision remanding to state court a case removed to federal court under the Class Action Fairness Act, thus permitting Phelps’ clients, a class of Louisiana sheriffs and law enforcement districts, to have their roughly $40 million claim against a vendor decided by a Louisiana state court;
- Won an appellate reversal of state trial court decision vacating an arbitral award under the Louisiana Arbitration Act, resulting in confirmation of a half-a-million-dollar arbitral award in favor of Phelps’ client.
