David R. Sutton III
Associate
David Sutton primarily counsels individuals and businesses on the full range of construction-related disputes. He focuses much of his practice on helping developers, general contractors, subcontractors and designers manage construction and design defect suits involving large residential communities and commercial buildings. He also works with businesses and individuals to resolve issues concerning:
-
- Breach of contract
- Business disputes
- Consumer claims
- Personal injury
- Product liability
Before starting his legal career, David was an award-winning negotiator in the auto financing industry. He brings this experience to help clients resolve disputes before trial if an agreement can be reached. But if taking a case to court is the best option, he’s well prepared to guide clients through every step of litigation, including jury trials. While in law school, David served as executive vice-president of the University of Florida Trial Team, with two successful mock trial wins under his leadership, in addition to earning the book award in trial practice. A Florida native, he spends his free time with his family fishing, traveling and cheering on the Jaguars and Gators.

- Successfully achieved final adjudication in client’s favor in a fraud case alleging over $350,000 in damages.
