Elly Vecchio's practice focuses on representation related to eminent domain, condemnation, and real property matters on behalf of governmental entities, pipeline companies, other private public-use condemning entities, and landowners. She has advised clients in connection with right-of-way acquisition, condemnation, and related issues starting at the early stages of a public use project through completion. Elly has experience with special commissioners hearings as well as traditional litigation.

Experience
- Managed right-of-way acquisitions and condemnation dockets for water districts and pipeline companies in matters involving water transportation, sewer, drainage and other public-use projects.
- Represented clients in special commissioners’ hearings and judicial hearings.
- Successfully first chaired injunctive relief and temporary restraining order on behalf of water authority who were denied entry to a property by the owner for surveying purposes.
- Successfully first chaired a unanimous jury verdict in a condemnation trial for a property owner in a whole taking by the county.
- Defended a pipeline company against claims of trespass, breach of contract and fraudulent inducement in connection with a crude petroleum pipeline.
