Hal West focuses primarily in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, commercial lending and related general and strategic business advice. Having grown up working in a medium size family business, he approaches issues from a business point of view, keeping clients grounded on the real issues of the matter. Hal regularly represents both public and private companies in a variety of matters with significant experience in real estate matters. He represented:
- US based manufacturer and distributor in obtaining a syndicated, multimillion dollar revolving credit facility that featured a traditional asset-based credit facility and a eurocurrency component
- Owners/management in sale of a 49% interest in the Company to a private equity firm during the COVID Pandemic
- Downstream marketer & convenience retailer in the sale of its business to a large national chain during the COVID Pandemic
- Borrower in a multi-million dollar first-in-first-out (FILO) revolving credit facility to enhance the company’s liquidity position during the COVID-19 pandemic
- A trust in the sale of over 40,000 acres of timber land
- A petroleum retailer in sale of over 120 petroleum distribution outlets and convenience stores to a large national chain
