Katherine L. Wyly

Katie Wyly focuses her practice on representing and counseling domestic and London insurers on marine and energy, general liability and cyber matters. In addition to providing coverage counseling to primary and excess insurers, a significant portion of Katie’s practice is acting as monitoring counsel to excess insurers for large loss claims. Katie’s broad knowledge of international legal systems and matters provides her a keen insight and greater appreciation of the intersection of U.S. and international law.
Prior to practicing law, Katie served three years in the Peace Corp in Rwanda and interned with Human Rights Without Frontiers in Brussels. Locally, she is a volunteer with The Pro Bono Project.
Experience
- Part of team that represented London-based insurers in a multi-million cyber coverage claim for fines and penalties.
- Part of the team that successfully had a dismissal of a law firm client in a professional malpractice claim which was affirmed by the Fifth Circuit.
