Loden Walker
Associate
Loden Walker is a labor and employment associate in Phelps’ Jackson office. He guides both public and private employers through litigation in federal district and appellate court, Mississippi state court and administrative agency proceedings. He has substantive experience counseling employers on issues pertaining to federal, state, and local labor and employment laws, including the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Equal Pay Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and the Fair Labor Standards Act, as well as other federal statutes for alleged violations of constitutional law.
Before joining Phelps, Loden clerked for the Honorable Jim M. Greenlee on the Mississippi Court of Appeals and the Honorable Cory T. Wilson on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. He also served as Editor in Chief of The Mississippi College Law Review while in law school.

- Drafted briefs pending before United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit involving issues arising under federal statutes for alleged constitutional violations of Fourteenth, Fourth and Fifth Amendments
- Obtained a reversal and remand on interlocutory appeal before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit in a case involving claims under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Mississippi state law
- Represents Fortune 500 company in federal and state agency proceedings nationwide
- Defended public entity in breach of contract claims against Global 500 company in federal district court
- Represents a public entity in ongoing appeal against Department of Justice in action seeking to terminate structural injunction under the Prisoner Litigation Reform Act
