She is dedicated to knowing every detail about her clients’ policies, and clients value her ability to set realistic expectations and meet or exceed those projections for their claims.
For more than two decades, Paige has managed litigation and arbitration matters involving large loss commercial and residential claims, onshore energy claims and claims involving allegations of bad faith, fraud, theft, business interruption/contingent business interruption, rescission, appraisal and intentional acts. In addition to assisting clients with post-claim advice, she counsels clients on effective claims handling practices and provides underwriting assistance for manuscript policy language.
Experience
- Obtained declaratory judgment for and early dismissal of surplus lines insurers on claim for tornado damage under Named Storm insurance policy.
- Secured permanent injunction to stop infringement of major insurance marketplace’s trademarks by insurance adjuster, ending litigation from multiple suits filed by the adjuster seeking millions of dollars in damages.
- Handled numerous first-party and reinsurance claims arising out of Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, Omar, Ike and Harvey
- Represented numerous Lloyd’s syndicates and domestic insurers in complex first-party property matters involving school districts and municipalities in Texas and Florida.
- Represented Lloyd’s syndicates in declaratory judgment action in northern Alabama for rescission of insurance policy based on material misrepresentations in the application.
- Retained by numerous Lloyd’s syndicates and domestic insurers to provide legal advice regarding coverage for business income claims arising from COVID-19 to universities, municipalities, property management companies, medical facilities, restaurants, hotels/motels, gyms and chemical manufacturers and distributors.
