Pam Michiels practices in the area of insurance. For more than 20 years, her practice has been devoted exclusively to counseling insurers. She advises both overseas and domestic insurance clients in complex coverage disputes involving a variety of issues concerning professional liability/errors and omissions, general liability, umbrella/excess, first-party and energy policies. Her experience extends to myriad coverage issues, including those arising out of exposures such as errors and omissions of architects, engineers, insurance professionals and lawyers. She serves as regional coverage counsel for a number of insurers.
Pam also manages insurance coverage litigation on behalf of insurance clients and counsels clients relative to litigation and alternative dispute resolution strategies. She frequently assists clients with the drafting of policy wordings, and provides advice on effective claims handling practices. Within the firm, she mentors and manages a team of coverage attorneys in the insurance practice group.
