Experience
• Prosecuted breach of contract, personal guaranty and lien claims on behalf of a construction material supplier against its subcontractor customer, personal guaranties, project owner, general contractor and other project subcontractors/suppliers through litigation in state superior court and a bankruptcy proceeding. Negotiated a favorable settlement at mediation for the client after securing Claim of Lien superiority over the lender, a competitor materials supplier lien claimant and other junior lienholders.
• Obtained a settlement of $700,000-plus (including full principal, attorneys fees, and nearly all interest claimed) for a national equipment rental supplier after prosecuting breach of contract and lien claims for amounts owed to the client on a large solar field project.
• Negotiates contracts for contractors and subcontractors involved in multi-million-dollar public sector and private construction projects. Drafts company contracts for contractors.
• Acts as substitute trustee for local and regional banks in commercial and residential foreclosure proceedings.
