Susan W. Furr
Partner
As workplace issues come under increased scrutiny, labor and employment problems can create intense internal pressure to act fast. In this high-stress setting, Susie Furr radiates a calm sense of restraint. Susie’s measured approach and depth of experience counter the “sky is falling” mindset that often works against best-case resolutions. She can tell you whether to send that memo before firing an employee, how to respond to a Me Too complaint and whether you should settle or fight a lawsuit.
Susie handles a wide array of workplace disputes involving complex wage and hour issues, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation allegations, leave issues, and non-competition disputes, among others. Focused on finding practical solutions that minimize disruption, she helps clients anticipate issues and avoid litigation when possible. She is adept at finding the right solution to reduce risk, whether it involves counseling, settlement, mediation, alternative dispute resolution or hard-fought litigation in state and federal courts. Susie also represents clients in EEOC administrative proceedings.
