Ginger Dodd practices in the area of insurance and reinsurance. Her litigation experience encompasses a broad range of insurance coverage issues, with an emphasis on complex insurance coverage disputes including time element claims related to windstorm and flood catastrophes, environmental clean-up, chemical exposures and professional liability. In addition, she defends various clients against premises liability, product and professional liability claims.
Experience
- Represents various domestic and London insurers and markets in all phases of first party claims handling, including claim review, coverage analysis, EUO, counseling through appraisal, defense of first party litigation and bad faith claims, including a specialization in pre-suit analysis and resolution of first party claims to reduce clients’ litigation costs.
- Represents certain London insurers and markets in complex business interruption, contingent business interruption and other time element claims, including matters involving manuscript policy wordings and the unique issues related to these policies.
- Represented several insurers in litigation asserting novel allegations of “lost opportunity” as element of business interruption claim valued by the insured in excess of $300 million.
- Represented several insurers in litigation in Delaware relating to allegations of contingent business interruption valued by the insured in excess of $100 million because of the loss of the ports in the Southern United States following major storm event.
- Represents various domestic and London insurers and markets in coverage issues related to third-party claims, including professional liability, chemical exposure and premises liabilities.
