Walt Green focuses his practice on cybersecurity, white collar criminal defense and governmental investigations, and litigation. Walt served as the United States Attorney for the Middle District of Louisiana and the Executive Director for the National Center for Disaster Fraud from 2013-2017. He retired from the United States Department of Justice with over 20 years of federal experience. Walt also served in the United States Marine Corps for over 30 years, retiring with the rank of Colonel.
In addition to defending businesses against cyber class actions in multiple jurisdictions, Walt routinely provides real-time counseling for companies to respond to data breaches and cyber intrusions of their computer systems, including incidents across multiple states. He guides companies through cyberattacks, including C-suite counseling, coordinating forensic efforts, liaising with local and federal law enforcement agencies, and providing domestic and international notification advice.

- Represented defendants, including health care providers, municipalities, and law enforcement agencies in several cyber class actions.
- Served as lead counsel or co-counsel in over 27 federal jury trials and 16 non-jury federal trials.
- Audited privacy policy and provided Children's Online Privacy Protection Act compliance-related materials for an online company with millions of subscribers worldwide.
- Successfully represented national company in an Unfair Trade Practices investigation by a state agency that resulted in no action taken by that agency.
- Coordinated an international investigation regarding a cyber extortion matter that originated in Eastern Europe.
